It would have been so easy for me to go into this already defeated. The beginning of the week found me really sick and the class topics I am taking this semester I have struggled with in the past. Before school started I read back on two of my old Blogs: The January archive blog "Thinking Positive" and May archive blog "Warrior" (take a look). I am capable of great inner strength but every once in awhile a reminder helps.
Yesterday I seemed to run into every rude person in two counties. I chose to respond with genuine friendliness, a smile, a wave, a sigh and then let it go and enjoy my successful first week. It reminded me that we can't always choose our situations but we can choose how we respond to them.
This morning I've been catching up on the work all my favorite organizations are doing. I encourage everyone to take a moment and read about others. It is so easy to take for granted clean water, indoor plumbing, freedom, and a warm bed at night.
So todays blog is a little short and scattered but the message is this:
Tackle Things with a Positive Can Do Attitude!
Choose to react in a friendly manner and not waste time on negativity.
Be greatful! You have more than you may think.
Think of others! Find an organization, person, or animal and lend a hand.
We have the power to make our lives better and help others too!
It's all about how you think. Now put those positive thoughts into action!
Let's go! Rebecca
